Mayors Climate Protection Agreement

On June 13, 2005, the Mayors Climate Protection Agreement was passed unanimously by the U.S. Conference of Mayors since the US would not ratify the Kyoto Protocol. Mayors inside and outside of the Conference continue to formalize their commitment by signing on to the agreement. As of February 22, 2007 there are 407 mayors that have singed on. In Minnesota the following have signed on: Apple Valley, Burnsville, Duluth, Eden Prairie, Edina, Mahtomedi, Milan, Minneapolis, Mountain Iron, Red Wing, Rochester, St. Paul, Turtle River, White Bear Lake, Winona,
